Engage Retired "University Professors" to Teach at the Basic Schools- Educationist

Mr. Kojo Daniel (previously called Daniel Fenyi), Proprietor of Excellence Remedial Institute, has made a passionate appeal to the Government and the Ministry of Education to engage retired university professors at the Basic School level to serve as teachers.

Kojo Daniel, who is a Counsellor and an Educationist, spoke to the Cape Coast-based Darling FM last Sunday on the removal of RME from the basic school syllabus and decried the lack of sufficient national attention and committment to the Basic School education in Ghana.

Counsellor Kojo Daniel emphasised that students spend about eleven (11) years of their academic journey at the Basic School level and therefore if they are not properly trained and groomed, they may grow up to be irresponsible adults.

Counsellor Kojo Daniel explained further that retired professors can be made to teach basic school pupils while they share they life experiences with them. This move he thinks will create more vacancies at the Tertiary level for young and upcoming lecturers to get employed.

Counsellor Kojo Daniel also cautioned the Education ministry not to remove RME from the syllabus because the moral education and training of the students is as important as Maths, English and Computing.

Counsellor Kojo Daniel (formerly called Daniel Fenyi) is a Counsellor, Educationist and the Proprietor of Excellence Remedial Institute where students who want to re-write the WASSCE are well taught.
