*1. Worth your/its weight in gold*
Very useful or valuable
_E.g. A good teacher is worth his weight in gold._

*2. Not out of the woods*
Not free from difficulties or problems
_E.g. We're not out of the woods yet, the water bill is not paid yet._

*3. Be worse off*
To be poorer, unhappier, etc than before
_E.g. The increase in light bill means we are worse off._

*4. Go/set about your work*
To start to do your work
_E.g. She cheerfully went about her work_

*5. Worth your/its salt*
Deserving respect especially because you do your job well.
_E.g. Any doctor worth his salt should know abortion is illegal._

*6. Not have a good word to say for somebody/something*
To never say anything good about somebody/something
_E.g. Nobody had a good word for the retiring headmaster._

*7. To get somebody wrong*
To misunderstand what somebody says/means
_E.g. Don't get Eric wrong, he was praising the child._

*8. Be your own/worst enemy*
Be the cause of your own problems
_E.g. Her laziness is her own enemy._

*9. Put words into somebody's mouth*
To suggest that somebody has said something he indeed has not.
_E.g. Emelia can never insult her parents like that, you're only putting words into her mouth._

To act naturally
