Ghana was Declared "Independent" on 6th March,1957 Because "The Bond of 1844" was Signed on 6th March- EDUCATIONIST DANIEL FENYI

The Proprietor of Excellence Remedial Institute, Mr. Daniel Fenyi, has established that Ghana's Independence did not happen on 6th March 1957. He argues that it was just the "declaration of Independence" that was done on 6th March 1957.

The renowned Educationist and Counsellor, explaining further, said the decision to announce Ghana's Independence was taken and announced on 18th September 1956.

Mr. Daniel Fenyi insinuated that Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and the leadership of the Gold Coast decided to declare independence on 6th March because "The Bond of 1844" which "sold" Ghana into colonization was also signed on 6 March.

Counsellor Fenyi said Ghana is 62 years but has little to be proud of. He encouraged the Government, individuals and other stakeholders to contribute their quota to ensure Ghana develops to a level we can all be proud of.

  1. Right, so what if the Big six made a decision to celebrate Ghana's independence to coincide with the date when it signed it off ? The celebration is about an event, not a date.
And please name your source about the said imported black star on our flag. Just today, TV3 had a playback of an interview with the late Theodosia who affirmed that she put that black star there. Are you moving to discredit her? Maybe you have to do a fact check on this.
