*Counselor FENYI:* My dear, I don't know why your partner is not comfortable when you touch his phone but one thing I can say for a fact is that, he is hiding something from you. In this age of technology and social media prevalence, about 80% of people's character is hidden in their phones; through whatsapp chats, text messages, phone calls, facebook posts, etc. So, if your partner denies you access to his phone, he's actually denying you awareness of about 80% of his character.
But, if I may ask, why do you want to check on your partner's phone?
Is it that you suspect him of something negative?
If you suspect him of anything, I suggest you confront him and talk about it. Never pick your partner's phone because you want to "catch" him. There's nothing to "catch", if you suspect him of cheating, approach him and talk about it, simple! Never check on his phone without his permission and always ask for explanations of "suspicious" messages before you draw any conclusions, things may not be as they seem. Thank you!
