*English Language Must Be Made Ghana's National Language- New Generation Teachers (NeGeT)*
Respected educationist and President of New Generation Teachers (NeGeT), Mr. Daniel Fenyi has asserted that none of the over 100 languages spoken in Ghana has any value on the international market.
Speaking to the Accra-based Top FM 103.1 last Friday, Mr. Daniel Fenyi said English Language must be officially made the national language in Ghana.
Mr. Daniel Fenyi (Counselor Fenyi) insinuated that the local languages in Ghana cannot be used to transact any business in Europe, Asia or America. This to him, shows how irrelevant our local languages are.
Even though Mr. Fenyi admitted that the local languages serve as a form of national and cultural identity, it's redundancy in the world of business makes it necessary to adopt another language as a common language in Ghana.
