Relationship Issue

_Dear Counselor Daniel,_
_I have been into several relationships all of which ended nowhere. It has been disappointment after disappointment each time and I'm really heart-broken. Things are just not working in my relationship life. What could account for this Sir? I seriously need help._

*Counselor:* Such challenge comes when you have problem with self-identity. Who are you? Where are you going? What do you do? What do you want? These are questions you should ask yourself before you think of bringing another person into your life. If you have self identity disability, you'll definitely bring the wrong persons into your life.

Again, never build your life around anyone. Make sure you are a 100% independent person before bringing another person. Disappointments come when you have built your career, education, finance, etc around the partner and he fails to deliver to your expectation.

Also, learn to compromise. Love is about sacrifice and compromise. Don't take all the lessons you learnt from your home into your relationship. It won't work. Learn to accept, adopt and adapt to new situations. Things can't always happen your way, if you insist, you'll keep losing good people.

Finally, if you are a christian, check your prayer life. Pray always towards your relationship. Pray for your partner. Don't take things for granted. Take your relationship to God always. Pray that He directs you to the right people.
